Our Story

For over 35 years, professional fabricator and business owner Erik Haimen has mastered his craft in metal fabrication. However, like many welders, he often found himself frustrated—having to stop mid-project to find a tool, grab his phone, or take a drink. 

He experimented with stacking tools and supplies on top of his welding machine, but every time he moved it, everything fell off. The idea of a tool belt for welders crossed his mind, but after hours of bending, lifting, and moving, it proved uncomfortable and impractical. 

In a final attempt, Erik tried tying the tool belt to his welding gas tank, but it kept slipping off. 

That’s when the light bulb went off 💡 — why not create an innovative welding accessory designed specifically for the welding tank itself? 

From that moment, TANK TOP was born — the original welding tank tool belt, designed to securely hold your tools, gloves, notes, and drinks while keeping everything right where you need it.
